How we predict the NEET paper (and why random practice fails)

Most NEET question banks hand you 5,000 undifferentiated MCQs and wish you luck. We do the opposite: we decide which question you should see next, and we can show our working.

Weightage, not guesswork

Every chapter in our blueprint carries a real number: how many questions it has produced per paper, averaged across 13 years of past papers. When we assemble a paper we allocate questions across chapters proportionally to that weightage, using largest-remainder apportionment so the counts add up exactly. A chapter that historically yields 2.7 questions per paper gets roughly 2.7x the slots of one that yields 0.9.

We also nudge each chapter by its trend — rising chapters get a boost, fading ones get less.

Difficulty is designed, not inherited

Here is a problem almost nobody talks about. Question banks skew easy. Ours is 52% easy, 29% medium, 19% hard — and inside a single chapter it can be worse.

If you sample randomly from that, your "mock test" comes out far softer than the real exam. So we don't sample randomly. Every paper targets a NEET-like mix — roughly 35% easy, 45% medium, 20% hard — and that quota is tracked across the whole paper, not per chapter.

Coverage, not clusters

Chapters carry 9-15 distinct concepts. Pick 20 questions at random and you can hit one concept eight times while never touching half the chapter. We spread selection across concepts, so a 45-question subject mock covers roughly 45 different concepts.

Only what's actually examinable

Chapters removed from the current NEET syllabus are excluded outright. You should never spend a minute on something that cannot be asked.
